Picking Out the Perfect Venue

Deciding where to celebrate your big day is one of the first things you'll need to decide. How exciting!

The first thing that you'll need to think about is do you want to get married in the town that you currently live in, the town you or your fiance grew up in, or a completely new place! If you still live in the same place that you and your fiance grew up in, it might be nice to get married there because your family and friends are already there. Or you could pick a completely new place for a destination wedding! If you live in a different town than where you grew up in, maybe you'll want to get married back home. Or maybe you love your new town and have a lot of friends there, and want to get married there. Basically, there is A LOT to consider!

The next thing you'll need to think about is what season do you want to get married in. If you want to get married in the winter, an indoor venue is probably the best route. If you want to get married in the Fall, an outdoor wedding would be beautiful! If you are a Summer lover, maybe an indoor/outdoor wedding would work great for you! Lastly, if you like the idea of a Spring wedding, indoor or outdoor would be great! It also depends on what state you are getting married in. For example, if you are getting married in March in Florida, an outdoor wedding would work, but maybe not so much if you are getting married in New York in March.

After you pick the town and season, then you can start thinking about the actual place. Do you want a church wedding, a beach wedding, a farm wedding, a banquet hall wedding? There are so many options! Here are some things to think about: if you love the outdoors, a farm wedding would great to consider. Or if you want a really fancy wedding, maybe an indoor, elegant venue would be the way to go! Think about your personality and the things that you like, and go from there!

It's also a great idea to visit venues in person. Look up some places online and go visit them. Maybe you'll fall in love with one place as soon as you see it!
